Vultures can eat carcasses infected with anthrax without getting sick.

Vultures have extremely acidic stomachs (often around pH ~1) that destroy many pathogens in rotten meat. While that doesn’t make them “immune to everything,” it greatly lowers disease risk from scavenging compared to most animals.
